Action Plan of Visits by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports: Visit to the Cultural and Artistic Association “Azot”

As a part of the Action Plan for visits to the beneficiaries of the approved funds, Hanadin Basarić, Youth Associations Advisor in the Youth Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, conducted a field visit on 10 October 2025 to the Cultural and Artistic Association “Azot” from Vitkovići. The purpose of the visit was to review documentation related to the implementation of the “Sevdah for Youth: Discovering Tradition and Sevdalinka Concert” project, which was supported by the Ministry.

The project empowered young people through unique cultural education and intergenerational exchange of knowledge about sevdalinka, directly contributing to the strengthening of human, technical, and administrative capacities, and ensuring planned and purposeful support for youth cultural activities.

By nurturing sevdalinka as a part of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s intangible cultural heritage, the project encouraged youth to preserve tradition, develop vocal and interpretative skills, and affirm cultural identity.

As a part of the project, a workshop was held with renowned sevdalinka performers, featuring vocal technique presentations, discussions, and practical demonstrations. The workshop was attended by 30 young participants from various local communities.

Following the review of available documentation and video material from the event, it was determined that the project had been successfully implemented and that young people had been actively engaged in artistic and educational content.

In accordance with contractual obligations, the Cultural and Artistic Association “Azot” will submit the remaining portion of the financial report on the intended use of the approved funds, along with supporting documentation. The final deadline for submitting the complete report is 31 December 2025.
