Action Plan of Visits by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports: Visit to the Association Croatian Cultural and Artistic Society “Seljačka sloga” Trebižat–Čapljina

Within the Action Plan of visits to funds beneficiaries, Adnan Bektić, Senior Advisor for International Cooperation from the Youth Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited on 4 December 2025 the Croatian Cultural and Artistic Society “Seljačka sloga” Trebižat–Čapljina. The visit was organized with the aim of reviewing the implementation of the project “Youth in Culture”, which received financial support from the Ministry in the amount of 7,000.00 KM, through the Youth Transfer.

The project “Youth in Culture” aims to provide musical instruments to young people, thereby encouraging their engagement in preserving cultural heritage and developing social and creative skills. Through groups, such as the Wind Orchestra, Folklore Group, Women’s Vocal Singing Group “Lira,” Men’s Vocal Singing Group “Trebižat,” and the Carnival Group “Pokladari,” HKUD “Seljačka sloga” has been continuously contributing to the preservation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s cultural heritage for more than 100 years, with modernized approaches that appeal to young people.

This year, the Society celebrates its 100th anniversary and its significant contribution to the cultural life of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project, supported by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the cultural scene and involve young people in preserving tradition. In addition, this project represents an important step in providing continuous support to youth through high-quality and meaningful cultural programs that contribute to their personal and professional development.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will continue actively monitoring the implementation of this and other similar projects, in order to ensure responsible and transparent use of public funds, while at the same time enabling young people to further develop their talents and contribute to the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
