On 14 January 2025, a meeting was held at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports between Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević, the founder of the children’s choir Princess Krofne, Zlatan Bostandžić, and Alma Tuzi Lepir from the Center for Creative Growth and Development LER.
The discussion focused on the most significant projects of these organizations: the International Inclusion Festival, the “Walk of Hearts” fashion show featuring creations made through the creative work of children and adults with developmental disabilities, as well as the decades-long, continuous work of the Princess Krofne children’s choir, which this year marks its 34th anniversary.
The guests of the Ministry devoted special attention to presenting the idea of organizing a major concert in Sarajevo in honor of Kemal Monteno, one of the most important and beloved singers and songwriters of the region.
It was emphasized that the concert is planned for September 2026, the month of Kemal Monteno’s birth, which would further highlight the symbolic and emotional value of this large musical event that aims to bring together prominent domestic and regional performers, Monteno’s friends, and longtime collaborators.
A particular emphasis was placed on the need to secure adequate financial support to ensure that the concert is realized at a high artistic and production level, worthy of Kemal Monteno’s name.
Minister Vlaisavljević expressed her understanding of the importance of the project and the musical tribute to Monteno, as well as her readiness—within her competencies and possibilities—to consider models of support and cooperation to ensure the successful realization of a concert that would hold exceptional cultural significance.
