On the occasion of marking the tenth anniversary of the founding of the “Zanat” brand, in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe House and the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a panel discussions were organised on the topic “The role of design in the preservation of cultural heritage”. Mr. Luigi Soreca, the Ambassador of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Orhan Nikšić, Director of “Zanat” welcomed the attendees. The panelists were “Zanat’s” design partners: Monica Förster, Jasna Mujkić, Yves Béhar, Oscar Penna (Studioilse), Naoto Fukasawa, Sebastian Herkner, Harri Koskinen, Michele De Lucchi, Roberto Palomba and the architects of the Wingårdhs/Sweden studio. Two panel discussions were organised, led by moderators, Ms. Amra Hadžimuhamedović and Ms. Sabina Ćudić. Previously, the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina exhibited objects created through collaboration with the aforementioned designers, which represent innovative designs produced in a traditional way. Konjic woodcarving was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2017.
