The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports celebrated World Autism Awareness Day, which is celebrated every year on April 2, with the aim of strengthening understanding, acceptance and respect for diversity in society.
On this occasion, an exhibition was opened by the young artist Kemal Zukić, a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, whose work is already attracting the attention of the public and the professional scene.
The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, addressed those present, pointing out that it is important that we nurture and organize such events together.
Autism is presented as a different way of experiencing the world, as a unique perspective that enriches society. This is precisely what is confirmed by the artistic expression of Kemal Zukić, who brings an authentic and powerful visual experience through his works.
In his address, Kemal emphasized that this exhibition is an important segment of his artistic and academic creativity and thanked everyone who supports him.
The young artist presented a new series of works inspired by Sarajevo in the lobby of the Ministry full of art lovers. The motifs of Baščaršija, Miljacka, the Cathedral and the city’s urban life are transformed into dynamic compositions
The program was additionally enriched by the musical performance of one of the most recognizable musicians of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, Harij Mata Harij, whose songs have long since become part of the common cultural heritage of the region.
