On 7 April 2026, a thematic session was held dedicated to the introduction of universal child allowance in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, with the support of UNICEF.
During the session, a study by the Institute of Economics of the University of Sarajevo was presented, and special attention was paid to improving the social protection system and reducing child poverty.
It was emphasized that child allowance is one of the key instruments of social policy and that it is necessary to continue activities to find a sustainable model that will include as many children as possible in the Federation of BiH.
The session was attended by Ivona Trboglav, expert advisor for labor and legal relations, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports.
