The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports sends sincere congratulations to the competitors of the Taekwondo Club “Novi Grad” Sarajevo for the outstanding results achieved at the international taekwondo tournament Skopje Open Ramus 2026, held this weekend in Skopje.
At this prestigious G1 tournament, which carries points for the world ranking and in which six of our competitors performed among athletes from as many as 41 countries, the club returned home with one gold and two bronze medals
The gold medal was won by Džejla Makaš, who defeated opponents from Turkey, Croatia and Israel with a dominant performance. Bronze medals went to Benjamin Husić, who reached the semi-finals by defeating the representatives of Bulgaria and Greece, and Ajli Makaš, who defeated opponents from Turkey and Andorra in great battles.
Notable performances were also given by Nedžad Husić, Ivana Krajišnik and Anja Hrgić, who showed excellent form in her first senior performance. All competitors demonstrated great fighting spirit and quality in strong international competition.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports congratulates all members of the club and believes that such successes will be motivation for even better results at the upcoming European Taekwondo Championship in 2026.
