Hastor among the best in Rome: 17th place and the third fastest European

Bosnia and Herzegovina marathoner Emir Hastor achieved another notable result on the international scene, taking 17th place at the prestigious Rome Marathon.

In a competition of as many as 36,000 participants, Hastor ran the 42,195-meter section in a time of 2 hours, 24 minutes and 52 seconds, thus confirming the continuity of high-quality performances and top sports form. Of particular note is the fact that he was the third fastest European in the race, which gives this result additional weight.

Kenyan athlete Asbel Rutto won this year’s marathon with a time of 2:06:32, ahead of compatriot Henry Tukor Kichana and Ethiopian competitor Lench Tesfaye Anbesa. The first ten places were occupied exclusively by competitors from Kenya and Ethiopia, which further emphasizes the value of Hastor’s ranking.

Of the European representatives, only Frenchman Brice Daubord and Italian Luca Parisi placed ahead of Hastor, who took 15th and 16th place.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports sends sincere congratulations to Emir Hastor on the achieved result, with the wish for many more successes and top performances at international competitions, to the pride of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
