Federal Minister of Culture and Sport, Sanja Vlaisavljević, welcomed a delegation of the Swimming Club “Spid” from Sarajevo at the Ministry’s premises.
The meeting was held in a warm and informal atmosphere and was attended by the country’s distinguished Paralympians Ismail Barlov and Ismail Zulfić, accompanied by Nihad Barlov, Ilda Kukuruzović, and the Club’s head coach and founder, Amel Kapo.
The primary purpose of the visit was to express the sincere gratitude of the Club’s members and management to Minister Vlaisavljević for her continuous institutional support, recognition of their efforts, and the encouragement the Ministry has provided throughout their work. Rather than focusing on strictly protocol-related matters, the meeting served as an opportunity for an open and heartfelt discussion about sportsmanship, the training process, and the indomitable spirit these young athletes demonstrate every day, both in and out of the pool.
The young swimmers, Ismail Barlov and Ismail Zulfić, whose dedication and achievements have made them a true inspiration and a source of pride for the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, shared their impressions from recent competitions. Coach Amel Kapo emphasized the importance of stable cooperation with institutions that understand their mission: breaking down barriers and creating equal opportunities for all.
Minister Vlaisavljević expressed great joy and pride following the meeting, stressing that the two Ismails are among the finest ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that their achievements call for continued support. She underscored that the doors of the Ministry remain wide open to the Swimming Club “Spid” family and affirmed that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sport will continue to stand firmly behind their sporting accomplishments and their noble social mission in the years ahead.
