As part of the professional supervision of the restoration and conservation works on the facade of the building, a coordination meeting was held at which current issues of carrying out restoration and conservation works on the facade of the building were discussed, as well as details related to the finishing and protection of individual elements of the facade.
The representative of the Institute for the Monuments’ Protection submitted to the contractor a prepared draft of the color scheme of the northern facade, which will serve as instructions for the execution and application of the intended paint tones during the finishing of the facade surfaces. The meeting also discussed the issue of protecting the horizontal cornices on the facade, where polluted rainwater is retained and drained, which can cause impurities and damage to the final layers. The representative of the Institute commented on the above issue and gave the contractor guidelines and instructions for the implementation of appropriate technical solutions to prevent the aforementioned phenomena.
It was noted that the works are proceeding according to plan. The northern facade is fully prepared for final painting, while restoration, conservation and facade works are underway on the western facade. All activities are being carried out in an orderly manner and in accordance with the project documentation, conservation guidelines and professional rules.
