The state of the conservation and restoration works on the ongoing maintenance of the facade of the parish church of St. Michael the Archangel in Vareš was inspected. The inspection of the state of the works was attended by a representative of the investor, supervision on behalf of the investor, a representative of the contractor and professional conservation supervision on behalf of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments.
The works on the western side of the building, which are currently in progress, were inspected. On the prepared surface, work began on applying paint according to the adopted drawings. Work also began on the construction of the canopy according to the proposal prepared by the Institute for the Protection of Monuments.
It was noted that the works are being carried out with quality, in accordance with the project documentation and the instructions provided.
After the inspection of the works, a working meeting was held to discuss the details and decorative plastic on the main, southern facade.
Professional conservation supervision of the works on behalf of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments is carried out by M.A. Lamija Abdijević, B.A. in Architecture, and M.A. Dolores Janko, B.A. in Architecture, expert advisors for architectural and archaeological heritage.
