The expert conservation supervision was carried out on April 13, 2026 in the presence of: Amir Sakić, director of the Museum of Islamic Culture and Art, Abdulah Alagić, representative of Rijaset Islamic Community in BiH, Lamija Abdijević, expert conservation supervision in front of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments and Beriz Hasković, representative of the contractor “NEIMARI” d.o.o. Sarajevo.
After an inspection of the performed work, it was determined that the work on the processing of the slats from which the door was removed, all unstable parts of the plaster from the walls were stripped, and the work on removing the plaster from one transverse wall, which was previously decided to remain exposed, without plaster, was completed. After the plaster was removed, the existing joints were grouted and the wall cleaned. The wall is built in a combination of brick and stone, the lower zone is made of stone, and the upper zone is made of brick. Re-grouting with lime-based mortar was performed, after which the wall will be protected with a protective coating in two layers.
The works carried out in order to adapt the space for the museum exhibition are carried out in accordance with the project documentation “Elaborate on the ongoing maintenance of the Gazi Husrev-beg hanikah facility” and according to the defined dynamics.
