As part of the action plan for visiting recipients of approved funding, Sanja Arnautović—Head of the Department for Cultural Institutions and Associations within the Culture Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports—conducted a monitoring visit on September 7, 2026. The visit concerned the implementation of the project “Digitization and Interpretation of Theatre Heritage: Kamerni Teatar 55 and Josip Lešić,” carried out by the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina with financial support from the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports.

The project focuses on the preservation, digitization, and contemporary interpretation of valuable theatre heritage, specifically materials related to Kamerni Teatar 55 and Josip Lešić. Digitizing museum and documentary materials contributes to their long-term preservation and increased public accessibility, while also creating new opportunities for research, presentation, and use for cultural and educational purposes.

By the time of the monitoring visit, the digitization of the exhibition dedicated to Kamerni Teatar 55, titled “Sve što je ostalo” (Everything That Remains), had been completed. Meanwhile, digitization activities for the exhibition dedicated to Josip Lešić are currently underway, with completion scheduled for November–December 2026. Remaining project activities will be carried out in accordance with the established timeline and project plan. The monitoring process involved a review of the activities completed to date and the associated materials, confirming that the project is proceeding according to the planned schedule.

Upon completion of all project activities, the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina will submit the full financial documentation and a narrative report on project implementation to the Ministry, in accordance with contractual obligations and prescribed deadlines.

The project “Digitization and Interpretation of Theatre Heritage: Kamerni teatar 55 and Josip Lešić” contributes to the preservation and contemporary presentation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s theatre heritage; it ensures that valuable museum materials—beyond mere physical preservation—are safeguarded for the long term and made more accessible to professionals, researchers, and the general public.
