As part of the action plan for visiting beneficiaries of approved funds, Sanja Arnautović—Head of the Department for Cultural Institutions and Associations within the Culture Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports—conducted a monitoring visit on September 11, 2026. The visit focused on the implementation of the project “12th Fairy Tale Festival for Children and Youth,” organized by the Association for the Support of Education, Upbringing, Culture, and Tradition “BAJKA” and supported by funds from the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Through various cultural, artistic, and educational activities aimed at children and youth, the “12th Fairy Tale Festival for Children and Youth” fosters the culture of storytelling and the fairy tale as part of literary and oral traditions. The festival contributes to developing the youngest audience’s interest in literature and art, stimulates creativity and imagination, and enables children and youth to participate directly in cultural activities.

The first part of the project, titled “Summer Fairy Tale Festival,” was fully implemented between July 29 and August 21, 2026. The second part of the project is scheduled for the period from October to December 2026, with remaining activities to be carried out in accordance with the established timeline and project plan.

During the monitoring visit, a review was conducted of promotional materials, media coverage, and other documentation related to the project activities implemented to date. Upon completion of all project activities, the Association for the Support of Education, Upbringing, Culture, and Tradition “BAJKA” will submit the complete financial documentation and a narrative report on project implementation to the Ministry, in accordance with contractual obligations and prescribed deadlines.

The “12th Fairy Tale Festival for Children and Youth” project contributes to the promotion of literature and culture among children and youth, the nurturing of the storytelling tradition, and the creation of a space for them to engage with various forms of artistic and creative expression.
