Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports Marks World Fair Play Day

On 20 May 2026, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organized a program on the occasion of World Fair Play Day dedicated to promoting the values ​​of fair play, sportsmanship, responsibility and mutual respect in sport and society.

The program was opened by Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević, who in her address emphasized the importance of fair play as a universal value that goes beyond the boundaries of sports fields and represents the basis of a healthy and responsible society.

The central part of the program was a conversation with internationally recognized football referee Irfan Peljta, who shared his experiences from domestic and international competitions with the attendees, speaking about the role of referees in preserving fair play, the challenges of modern football and the importance of honesty, discipline and responsibility in sport.

The final part of the conversation aroused particular interest from the audience, during which visitors had the opportunity to ask the guest questions in a relaxed and positive atmosphere.

Continuing the program, Elma Nazifović and Nina Iličić performed the hip hop dance number “Box Match”, which through movement, rhythm and stage expression presented a combination of energy, discipline and togetherness.

The final part of the program was reserved for a musical performance by the young musician Tin Tomić from Kreševo ​​accompanied by maestro Vlado Podani. The audience enjoyed the performances of domestic and foreign hits from the 80s, which concluded the event in a positive and festive atmosphere.

With the event, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports once again reminded of the importance of fair play as a value that connects sports, culture and everyday life.
