As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of approved funding, on 14 September 2026, Adnan Bektić, Expert Advisor for International Cooperation at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited the Youth Success Association Široki Brijeg.
The purpose of the visit was to review the documentation and activities related to the implementation of the project “Youth and the Digital World: Analysis of Digital Habits, Digital Literacy, and the Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which was supported through the Ministry’s Youth Transfer Programme in the amount of BAM 8,000.00.
The project is focused on researching and analysing the digital habits of young people, their level of digital literacy, and the ways in which artificial intelligence is being used among youth in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its primary objective is to provide a better understanding of young people’s behaviour in the digital environment while identifying key challenges, needs, and opportunities for their more effective participation in contemporary digital society.
During the implementation phase, the beneficiary developed the research methodology, defined the target groups, and prepared the survey questionnaire. The research is being conducted through an online survey among young people across the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, using digital platforms and social media channels in order to reach as broad and diverse a sample of participants as possible.
Upon completion of the data processing and analysis, the research findings are expected to be presented to the public through relevant online media platforms in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this way, the project results will be made accessible not only to the wider public but also to organizations and institutions working on youth-related issues and their position within the digital society.
Field visits to beneficiaries of approved funding constitute an important component of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports’ efforts to monitor the implementation of supported projects. Through this approach, the Ministry seeks to ensure the transparent, purposeful, and accountable use of public funds, while also enabling timely monitoring of project outcomes and achievements.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will continue to actively monitor project implementation in the field, while providing support to beneficiaries in delivering meaningful and high-quality programmes that contribute to the development of young people, their professional and personal growth, and their more active participation in social processes.
