On 17 September 2026, Marjan Rajić, Professional Associate within the Culture Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited the beneficiary, the Writers’ Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of reviewing the current status and preparations for the project “65th Sarajevo Poetry Days.”

During the visit, the beneficiary informed the Ministry representative that preparatory activities for the project had commenced at the beginning of the year. These activities included communication with and confirmation of participation by invited authors, the selection of programme venues, and the development of the overall concept of the event.

According to the information provided, the 65th Sarajevo Poetry Days will be held from 19 to 23 October 2026, featuring authors and guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, France, and Germany. Given its international participation and programme concept, the event has the character of an international cultural manifestation.

Part of the list of confirmed participants, minutes from association meetings, and the preliminary programme of the event were presented for review. The submitted documentation indicates that preparatory activities are progressing as planned and that the project is being systematically prepared for implementation within the scheduled timeframe.

As the project is scheduled to take place in October 2026, a final assessment of the implementation of project activities and the expenditure of the approved funds will only be possible upon its completion and after a review of the complete documentation.

The beneficiary was informed of the obligation to submit both a narrative and a financial report upon completion of the project, in accordance with contractual obligations and the prescribed reporting deadlines.
