Action Plan Visits of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports: Visit to the “Energija” Fitness and Recreation Association

As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of approved funding, on 11 September 2026, Adnan Bektić, Expert Advisor for International Cooperation within the Youth Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited the “Energija” Fitness and Recreation Association.

The purpose of the visit was to review the documentation and activities related to the implementation of the project “Kickboxing and Self-Defence for Children”, which was supported by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with funding in the amount of BAM 12,000.00.

The “Energija” Fitness and Recreation Association was established in 2011 and has continuously worked since its founding to improve the health and quality of life of citizens. Through a variety of recreational activities, the Association seeks to encourage as many participants as possible to adopt an active lifestyle, develop self-confidence and social connectedness, and particularly educate young people about the importance of physical activity and recreation for their health and future.

The project “Kickboxing and Self-Defence for Children” is aimed at enhancing the physical, psychological, and social development of children and young people through a structured programme of kickboxing training and self-defence education. Particular emphasis is placed on promoting healthy lifestyle habits, strengthening self-confidence, improving physical fitness, and increasing the level of safety and personal security among young people.

During the field visit, insight was gained into the implemented activities, available project documentation, and the manner in which project activities were being carried out, with the aim of monitoring the purposeful and transparent use of the approved funds.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continues to actively monitor the implementation of supported projects in the field in order to ensure the transparent, responsible, and appropriate use of public funds. At the same time, the Ministry remains committed to supporting programmes aimed at children and young people, particularly those that contribute to the development of their knowledge and skills, the improvement of health and well-being, the strengthening of self-confidence, professional and personal development, innovation, and active participation in society.
