As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of budgetary funds, on 23 September 2026, Semira Dommar, Senior Adviser for Olympic and Paralympic Sports within the Ministry’s Sports Sector, visited the Swimming Club “Novi Grad” Sarajevo.
The purpose of the visit was to review the documentation related to the implementation of the project “Be Healthy, Mentally Strong, Equal and Included – Swim”, which was supported pursuant to the Decision of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports on the allocation of funds from the “Transfer for Sports of Significance to the Federation”, under the programme “Co-financing of Sports Associations and Clubs Whose Activities Are Exclusively Focused on Children and Youth up to the Age of 18”, in the total amount of BAM 6,000.00.
The review of the documentation established that the beneficiary had fully implemented the project and had used the funds allocated by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports for their intended purpose.
The implementation of the project made a significant contribution to improving the psycho-physical development and socialization of children and young people in Sarajevo Canton, as well as to the continuous and systematic development of young swimmers.
Through the implementation of the project activities, additional opportunities were created for the inclusion of a greater number of children and young people in sports activities, with a particular emphasis on the development of healthy lifestyle habits, inclusion, and the equal participation of children and youth in sport.
