The values ​​that football promotes – friendship, teamwork, fair play and tolerance – make it a powerful tool for building peace, solidarity and togetherness. It is no coincidence that football is often said to be “the most important side hustle in the world”, because it is through it that people find joy, passion and a sense of belonging.

As part of the celebration of World Football Day, the United Nations reminds us that this game is not just a competition, but also a value that transcends borders and connects people around the world.
