Last night, on the plateau in front of the Croatian House of Herceg Stjepan Kosača in Mostar, the Sixth Traditional Dress Show “From the Sea to Sava” was held, organized by HKUD “St. Ante – Cim” Mostar and the association FRAMOST – The Mission of Linking the Heritage of People and Space, with the participation of numerous cultural and artistic societies from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This extremely impressive fashion show presented the wealth of traditional heritage in a unique way through sumptuous folk costumes that testify to the cultural identity and wealth of creativity. A special atmosphere was created by the “ethnic red carpet” in front of the “Kosača”, where visitors had the opportunity to socialize and take photos with models dressed in traditional clothes, experiencing the beauty of details and handwork up close.
As part of the show, a presentation of the book “Traditional Clothing from the Sea to the Sava” by Marinko Jurić was held. The publication provides descriptions and photos of national costumes and documents previous shows, confirming the importance of preserving traditional culture and passing on heritage to new generations.
Anita Vlašić attended the fashion show on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports. The Ministry is particularly pleased to emphasize the value of such events that connect the community, nurture cultural diversity and remind of the beauty of tradition.
