The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organized the concert “Jazz without Borders” on May 6, 2026, which appropriately marked International Jazz Day, which is celebrated on April 30.
This event brought together distinguished guests and music lovers, confirming the importance of art as a space for encounter, dialogue and mutual understanding. In the introductory part, the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of continuous institutional support for artists and cultural initiatives.
The central part of the program was marked by the performance of the Beho–Simunović–Ahac–Bandić quartet, whose members, through authentic artistic expression, improvisation and superb interpretation, brought the spirit of jazz in its full freedom and playfulness closer to the audience. Their performance was met with an extremely positive reception by the audience, who followed the performance with great interest and attention. Such programs contribute to the development and affirmation of the cultural scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to the strengthening of the values of an open, creative and connected society.
The concert “Jazz without Borders” once again confirmed the universal power of jazz as an artistic expression that transcends borders and connects different cultures and experiences. At the same time, the event reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports to continue enriching cultural life and contributing to the development of the contemporary art scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
