Posušje – a region rich in cultural heritage, traditions, and customs—was showcased at the “Promenade of Culture” (Šetnica kulture) in Sarajevo. Visitors had the opportunity to discover the area’s unique character through its gastronomy, music, folklore, and art.
The selection of Herzegovinian culinary specialties drew particular attention, offering visitors a taste and scent of the region while highlighting the richness of traditional Herzegovinian cuisine and the hospitality for which the area is well-known.
The Croatian Cultural and Artistic Society “Fra Petar Bakula” from Posušje took part in the program. Its members presented aspects of their region’s heritage through a folklore performance, helping to preserve customs passed down from generation to generation. In addition to the folklore, visitors could view an art exhibition, which further enriched the program by showcasing creative works linked to the region.
The musical segment featured Ivana Jukić, whose performance enhanced the evening’s atmosphere and added another layer to the presentation of the Posušje region.
The showcase of Posušje at the “Promenade of Culture” once again demonstrated the vital role that tradition, song, dance, art, and gastronomy play in preserving the identity of local communities. Through a diverse program, Posušje brought a portion of its cultural heritage and the distinct characteristics of Herzegovina closer to the Sarajevo audience, confirming that the richness of Bosnia and Herzegovina is reflected precisely in the diversity of its regions, customs, and people.
