Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević sent a congratulatory message on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports to Senka Ibrišimbegović, Prof. Ph.D. whom the President of the Republic of Italy H.E. E. Sergio Mattarella awarded with the Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia (Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy), one of the highest awards of the Republic of Italy presented to foreign citizens for special merits in the promotion of friendly relations and cooperation between Italy and other countries.

“I send you my sincere congratulations with the hope that you will be a guide for young people to resist all the challenges that come with research and creation, because your award is a proof that with a lot of love and dedication we can push the boundaries. Lease receive my sincerest congratulations!” Minister Vlaisavljević said.

Senka Ibrišimbegović proved that the Order of the Star of Italy, which is awarded to distinguished individuals, is a result of persistent work aimed at creating networks and connections between the two countries. This honour is in recognition of Ibrišimbegović’s contributions in the fields of architecture, art and the regeneration of public spaces, as well as his engagement in strengthening cultural and academic ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy.
