Today, the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, signed contracts with representatives from the City of Novi Travnik and the Municipality of Kreševo to allocate capital transfer funds for sports infrastructure, totaling 1,050,000 KM for projects aimed at developing and improving sports facilities.
The City of Novi Travnik was awarded a total of 700,000 KM for two projects: 200,000 KM for installing artificial turf on the NK Novi Travnik auxiliary pitch and 500,000 KM for the renovation of the “Mali sportovi” sports complex.
The Municipality of Kreševo was awarded 200,000 KM for a project to reconstruct its auxiliary pitch and install artificial turf, while the Municipality of Vitez received 150,000 KM for the construction of a rubber sports surface—a tartan track—at the town stadium.
These investments in sports infrastructure will provide local communities with better conditions for sports activities and create safer, more functional spaces for children, young people, athletes, and all residents of these areas.
Minister Vlaisavljević expressed her pleasure that the signing of these contracts would enrich these communities and serve as an incentive for these locations to become gathering places for all generations. During her visit to these municipalities and towns, the Minister discussed the implementation of approved projects with municipal heads Boris Marić and Boris Marjanović, as well as Mayor Stjepan Dujo, while also addressing future opportunities for developing sports infrastructure and the continued cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and local communities.
