On Thursday, 15 October 2026, the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, attended the opening of the exhibition “Immersive Realities: Transmedial Futurism” by Bosnian-Herzegovinian artist Rikardo Druškić at the Historical Museum of BiH in Sarajevo.
This unique multimedia project—combining painting, animation, film, sound, light installations, and virtual reality—presents an artistic world in which the author explores identity, human nature, and the relationship with technology. The exhibition, which transports visitors into an imaginary world set in the year 2502, represents a distinct advancement on the contemporary art scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina and stands as one of the pioneering transmedial projects of its kind in the region.
At the opening ceremony, Minister Vlaisavljević highlighted the importance of continuous support for local artists and projects that push the boundaries of artistic expression, thereby enriching the cultural landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She emphasized that such projects confirm the creative potential of local artists and their capacity to produce works that gain recognition well beyond the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Furthermore, she noted that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports—serving as the general patron of the exhibition—recognized the project’s innovation, its significance for the development of contemporary art, its role in promoting local artists, and its contribution to integrating culture with new technologies.
