The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, held a meeting today with Enes Idrizbegović, President of the “City Museum Počitelj” Association , to discuss the current state of Počitelj, a significant cultural and historical jewel of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Idrizbegović placed particular emphasis on the challenges faced by the Počitelj Art Colony, which is in extremely poor condition.

The Art Colony, as one of the key symbols of the artistic and cultural tradition of this area, requires urgent attention and engagement in order to preserve its value and secure its future. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange ideas and define the steps needed to preserve Počitelj and restore it to its rightful place on the cultural scene.

The Minister informed Idrizbegović that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Institute for the Monuments’ Protection at the Ministry, were participating in the initiative for the revitalisation of Počitelj, together with the Delegation of the European Union in BiH, within which certain specific activities have already been undertaken. In this context, the belief was expressed that Počitelj will soon shine with a new glow with old, valuable cultural contents.
