A meeting of representatives of the Ministry with members of the Athletic Club Novi Grad Sarajevo was held at the premises of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, where they discussed the possibilities of achieving sponsorship cooperation and institutional support ahead of the upcoming World Junior Championships, which will be held in the United States of America in August 2026.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Sports Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports Marko Komšić and Denis Jovanovski, promising Bosnian and Herzegovinian shot putter Zerina Bešlija, and her coach Elmir Ćerimagić.
During the conversation, the results so far and the sporting progress of the young athlete Zerina Bešlija were highlighted, who, with her work, discipline and dedication, represents one of the significant potentials of Bosnian and Herzegovinian athletics. Special emphasis was placed on preparations for the appearance at the World Junior Championships in the USA, which is one of the most important international competitions for young athletes.
Representatives of the Novi Grad Sarajevo Athletic Club informed the Ministry about the preparation plans, organizational challenges and needs related to attending and participating in this major sporting event, and presented a proposal for future sponsorship cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports continuously provides support to young and promising athletes, recognizing the importance of investing in the development of top-level sports and the affirmation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international sports scene. Such meetings represent an important step towards strengthening cooperation between institutions and sports teams, with the aim of creating better conditions for the development of young talents and their future success.
