On 9 September 2026, Tidža Mekić, Head of the Department for Publishing, Library, Visual Arts, Music, and Performing Arts at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, conducted a field visit to the LOGOS Theatre in Nova Bila. The purpose of the visit was to review documentation regarding the implementation of the “Regional Festival of Laughter” project, which is taking place from 1 May to 31 December 2026.

As part of the project, the first “HA HA Fest” – Regional Festival of Laughter – was held from 19 to 21 June 2026. This is a new festival program that offered the audience various forms of humorous and entertaining cultural expression through theatrical performances and other accompanying events.

The festival programme opened with the children’s play “Koko at School” (Koko u školi), aimed at the youngest audience members, followed by performances from professional theaters from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia. In this way, the festival program catered to diverse age groups and provided the audience with content from various theatrical backgrounds. As part of the accompanying program, the popular “QuizneyLand” pub quiz—themed around movies—was held on the esplanade of the Croatian Cultural Center Nova Bila (a Public Institution).

The remaining project activities involve conducting workshops for young people, with the project scheduled to conclude on December 31, 2026. During the site visit, the available documentation regarding project implementation was reviewed, as were the project activities already completed and those remaining.

Based on the review and the situation on the ground, it was determined that project implementation is proceeding according to the planned schedule. The majority of planned activities, including the first HA HA Fest—have been successfully carried out, while preparations for the remaining activities (specifically, workshops for youth) are currently underway.

Upon completion of the project, the grant recipient is required to submit a comprehensive report on project implementation and the expenditure of the allocated funds within the designated timeframe.
