Dear Mr. Halilović,

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on the successfully organized and realized “Athletic Cup 2026” competition, which once again confirmed the importance of sports in the education and development of children and young people.

I send special congratulations to all the students who participated in the municipal competitions, as well as their teachers, coaches and schools who, with their work, dedication and commitment, contribute to the development of school sports and the affirmation of healthy life values.

The impressive number of participants and participating schools testifies to the scale and importance of this competition, which for many years has been one of the most important sports events for the school population in Sarajevo Canton.

On the eve of the upcoming cantonal final, I wish all the finalists much success, sportsmanship and fair-play competition, in the conviction that this final event will take place in the best sporting atmosphere and further affirm athletics as a basic sports discipline.

In the coming period, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will continue to support projects that promote sports, especially among young people, recognizing its key role in building a healthy and active society.
