The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports congratulates the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kerim Alajbegović, on winning the seventh place in the selection for the prestigious Kopa Trophy, which is awarded to the best young footballer in the world. This recognition represents an important success for a young football player, but also a valuable contribution to the affirmation of Bosnian football at the international level.

The award was given at the Golden Ball ceremony, held at the London Palladium. The prize was won by Harry Kane, a football player from Barcelona, while Alajbegović placed seventh in the competition of ten nominated young players from different parts of the world.
The ranking among the ten best young footballers in the world confirms that Alajbegović found himself in the company of promising players of his generation. His result represents an incentive for further work, development and progress and confirmation of the potential of young football players in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Kopa Trophy has been awarded since 2018, and the winner is decided by former Ballon d’Or winners. This year’s selection once again highlighted the importance of recognizing young talents who, with their games and commitment, build the basis of future success on the biggest international football scene.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports congratulates Kerim Alajbegović on this valuable recognition and wishes him much success, new sporting achievements and recognition in the future, with the wish that he will proudly represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at international competitions in the future.
