Busovača was showcased at the “Promenade of Culture” in Sarajevo, giving the audience an opportunity to discover the richness of the region’s cultural heritage, traditions, art, and unique characteristics.
The event was opened by the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, while Marko Šantić, Chairman of the Municipal Council, greeted the attendees on behalf of the Municipality of Busovača.
The audience had the chance to hear students from the Busovača branch of the Jakov Gotovac Elementary Music School and enjoy performances by senior and junior folklore groups, as well as members of the HKD Napredak Busovača dance troupe.
Through an original text by Irena Lukin—read by Katja Znahor, a student at the Busovača Secondary School—the audience was introduced to Busovača through stories of its history, people, and memories. Young musical talents Mia Andrijašević and Mihael Mravak, along with painters Sanja and Paulina, also contributed to the evening.
The evening concluded on a special note with the vocal group “Ivančice i prijatelji” performing the original song “Dođi u Busovaču” (Come to Busovača), a musical postcard of the region.
The gathering ended with a social session featuring traditional dishes and treats prepared by members of HKD Napredak Busovača. At the Promenade of Culture, Busovača showcased its most valuable assets—its story, traditions, culture, music, and people—affirming how the richness of local distinctiveness contributes to the cultural diversity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
