Action Plan Visit of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports: Visit to the “Youth Centre” Čapljina Association

As part of the Action Plan for visits to grant beneficiaries, Adnan Bektić, Senior Adviser for International Cooperation at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited the “Youth Centre” Čapljina Association on 1 October 2026 with the aim of reviewing the documentation and activities related to the implementation of the project “Youth Frame: Podcast, Video and Local Stories”, which was supported by the Ministry with funding in the amount of BAM 8,000.00.

The project “Youth Frame: Podcast, Video and Local Stories” commenced on 18 September 2026, at the beginning of the new school year. Its objective is to empower young people through the development of practical digital, media, communication, and creative skills, with a particular focus on podcast production, video recording, editing, public speaking, and digital storytelling.

The project is designed as a non-formal education programme through which young people, with mentoring support and practical work, will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that are not sufficiently represented within the formal education system but are directly applicable in today’s digital environment. The project places particular emphasis on fostering creativity, independence, communication skills, and the active participation of young people in the creation of media content.

A total of 35 participants have registered for the project. Through the planned activities, they will have the opportunity to develop practical competencies in digital media, content production, public speaking, and digital storytelling, with professional and mentoring support.

During the visit, representatives of the “Youth Centre” Čapljina Association informed the Ministry’s representative about the commencement of the project, the planned activities, the methodology for working with participants, and the expected project outcomes. As the project began on 18 September 2026, implementation was still in its initial phase at the time of the field visit, while the majority of planned activities are expected to take place during the remainder of the project period.

Upon completion of the project, the beneficiary will submit a comprehensive financial report on the expenditure of the approved funds, together with all supporting documentation, to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, in accordance with the contractual obligations and the conditions governing the use of the allocated funds.

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will continue to actively monitor the implementation of the project in the field, with the aim of ensuring the transparent and responsible use of public funds, while supporting programmes that contribute to youth development, the acquisition of new knowledge and practical skills, creativity, digital literacy, and the active participation of young people in society.
