As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of approved funding, Adnan Bektić, a representative of the Youth Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited the Association for Sustainable Development “UZOR”, a beneficiary of funds allocated for the implementation of the project “Posuški Kamendani 2026 – Young Guardians of Heritage”.
The project has been supported by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with funding in the amount of BAM 9,000.00 and will be implemented from 12 to 23 October 2026, in coordination with the Municipality of Posušje.
“Posuški Kamendani 2026 – Young Guardians of Heritage” is an integrated programme aimed at strengthening the capacities of young people through the connection of cultural heritage with contemporary development tools, with particular emphasis on the opportunities provided by European Union programmes and projects.
Through the project activities, young people are introduced to the importance of the cultural and historical heritage of their local community, while also learning how the potential of cultural heritage can be linked to modern approaches to development, education, and youth engagement.
A special component of the project focuses on familiarizing young people with the preparation and implementation of projects, the development of project ideas, and the use of available development and European funding opportunities. In this way, the project seeks to provide young people with practical knowledge and competencies that they can apply in their future education, professional development, and active participation in community life.
By connecting cultural heritage with contemporary development tools, the project “Posuški Kamendani 2026 – Young Guardians of Heritage” contributes to creating an environment in which young people are not only consumers of cultural content but also active participants in the preservation, promotion, and valorisation of the heritage of their region.
The field visit conducted by the representative of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports was aimed at reviewing the documentation and activities related to the implementation of the project, as well as monitoring the execution of the planned project activities.
Through its support for youth-oriented projects, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports seeks to contribute to the empowerment of young people, the acquisition of new knowledge and skills, and the creation of opportunities for their active involvement in the cultural, social, and developmental life of local communities.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will continue to monitor the implementation of supported projects and provide support to initiatives that connect young people, culture, education, and contemporary development opportunities, creating space for their more active participation in society and local communities.
