Following last year’s presentation, Kreševo once again showcased itself at the “Promenade of Culture” in Sarajevo, bringing the spirit of its hometown through tradition, handicrafts, gastronomy, and music.
The programme was prepared by the “Napredak” section “UdruŽene Kreševke” (United Women of Kreševo), which introduced visitors to a portion of the rich tradition and creative output of the Kreševo region. Through a culinary showcase, embroidery and crochet workshops, and an exhibition of handicrafts and paintings, visitors had the opportunity to discover the values and skills that have been nurtured and passed down through generations.
Traditional handicrafts drew particular attention, as did the culinary offerings that gave visitors a taste of the flavors of the Kreševo region. The program was further enhanced by a photo corner, arranged using the displayed handicrafts and other elements of traditional artistry.
A special musical touch was provided by the band “Lumia,” featuring Mladen Tomić, Tin Tomić, and Lucija Pervan. Their performances enriched the atmosphere and rounded out a program dedicated to tradition, creativity, and music.
Kreševo’s return to the “Promenade of Culture” once again demonstrated the importance of preserving and showcasing the cultural heritage, traditional skills, and customs of the various regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
