My dear champions,

on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, but above all on my own behalf, I wholeheartedly congratulate Džejla Makaš, Nedžad Husić, Katarina Kraišnik, Hatidža Alijagić and all the great members of the Taekwondo Club Novi Grad Sarajevo on the magnificent success achieved at the 23rd international tournament “Galeb Belgrade Trophy – Serbia Open 2026”.

Bringing four great awards – one gold, two silver and one bronze – from extremely strong and demanding international competition in Belgrade is a feat worthy of admiration.

Thank you for raising the name of our homeland to the podium again with your courage, heart and superb skill. Your honors shine brighter because we know how much sweat, early morning training, discipline and sacrifice are woven into every second of your fights.

These congratulations equally belong to the other competitions that proudly defended the club’s colors, as well as to your coaches, the club’s leadership and all those who invest themselves from the shadows so that the Taekwondo Club Novi Grad Sarajevo breathes as one champion family.

You are the most beautiful face of Bosnia and Herzegovina and proof that there are no unattainable goals for our youth. My true commitment and duty as a minister is to stand firmly by your side and ensure that your championship paths have the full support that you deserve. I wish for you to stay healthy, remain just as defiant and hungry for new victories, and continue to bring us joy with your successes!
