Culture at your fingertips: Čitluk evening on the Promenade of Culture

The Promenade of Culture in front of the building of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports shone in full glory last night, this time imbued with the rich cultural heritage of the Municipality of Čitluk. In an atmosphere that combined tradition, art and gastronomy, numerous visitors enjoyed a diverse programme that celebrated the identity of the Brotnjo region.

The evening was officially opened by the Mayor of the Municipality of Čitluk, Marin Radišić, who in his speech emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and the unity that such events fostered. He thanked all participants and organizers for their efforts, emphasizing that Čitluk proudly presented its wealth of tradition and creativity.

The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlasiavljević, also spoke on the occasion, congratulating the International Day of Rural Women, highlighting their key role in preserving cultural identity and rural life. She especially praised the contribution of women in art, gastronomy and tradition, which were visibly present throughout the evening.

The stage was filled with performances by the cultural and artistic societies HKUD “Brotnjo” Čitluk and HKUD “Sveti Marko” Vionica, along with the energetic “Broćanski bećari” band and young talents from the Elementary Music School “Brotnjo”. Their performances were a reminder of the wealth of folklore and musical heritage of this region.

The artistic part of the evening was completed by an exhibition of academic painters Anela Korać and Aneta Pehar, whose works visitors could view alongside literary works published by the Čitluk Branch of Matica hrvatska. A special moment was the screening of the award-winning film by the Čitluk Municipality Tourist Board, which further brought the beauties and potential of this region closer to the audience.

The second part of the programme brought an emotional musical evening with the performance of the Ramljak sisters, who delighted the audience with their performances and created an atmosphere to remember.

Along with music and art, guests had the opportunity to taste various specialties from the Čitluk region. A special surprise of the evening were master chefs Ivana Soldo and Miroslav Kordić, who raised the event to an even higher level with their culinary creations.

The Promenade of Culture once again confirmed that Čitluk had a lot to offer – from tradition and art to top-notch gastronomy. This evening will remain a strong reminder of the values ​​that are worth nurturing and sharing.
