Contracts Signed for Sports Infrastructure Development in Mostar, Široki Brijeg, and Ravno

The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, has signed contracts for the allocation of funds from the “Capital Transfer to Other Levels of Government and Funds – Construction, Adaptation, and Reconstruction of Sports Infrastructure” budget line, securing a total of 5,300,000 KM for projects in Mostar, Široki Brijeg, and Ravno.

These funds come from the Federation of BiH Budget for 2026 and are intended for projects that improve conditions for the development of sports and sports infrastructure in local communities.The City of Mostar was granted a total of 4,600,000 KM for three projects: 1,500,000 KM each was allocated for the reconstruction of the eastern stand at the HŠK Zrinjski Mostar stadium and for the construction and development of facilities at the Rođeni stadium, while 1,600,000 KM was designated for the construction of the Mostar Cultural and Sports Center. The contract was signed by Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević and the Mayor of Mostar, Dr. Mario Kordić.

The City of Široki Brijeg was awarded 400,000 KM for the project “Rehabilitation of Sports and Recreational Grounds in the City of Široki Brijeg.” The contract was signed by Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević and the Mayor of Široki Brijeg, Ivo Pavković. The Municipality of Ravno has been awarded 300,000 KM for the implementation of the “Donja Luka Recreational Football Field Construction” project. The contract was signed by the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, and the Mayor of Ravno, Andrija Šimunović.

On this occasion, Minister Vlaisavljević emphasized that investing in sports infrastructure is an investment in people—specifically children and youth—as well as in the quality of life within local communities. She highlighted that sports fields and facilities should serve as places for gathering, talent development, and the cultivation of new generations of athletes.
