It is with great pleasure that I extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 23rd gathering of “Matija Gubec” societies and the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the “Matija Gubec” Cultural and Educational Society of Bakovići-Fojnica.

Nine decades of dedicated work bear witness to the exceptional strength of community spirit, a love for cultural heritage, and an enduring commitment to preserving folk customs, music, dance, and traditional values. Through its tireless efforts, your society has left a profound mark on the cultural life of Fojnica and Bosnia and Herzegovina, serving as an example of how our cultural identity is preserved and enriched through dedicated work and the intergenerational transfer of knowledge.

For many years, the gatherings of “Matija Gubec” societies have served as a space for friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual respect, bringing together guardians of tradition from various regions. It is precisely through such gatherings that we see confirmation of culture as one of the most powerful bridges connecting people and communities.

May this significant anniversary serve as an impetus for future successes, creativity, and the continuation of the noble mission to preserve cultural heritage for generations to come.
