The Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports the notification of the Permanent Presidency of Austria at the Council of Europe that the City of Innsbruck was awarding the Emperor-Maximilian-Prize 2026. The focus of the award for 2026 is “Young-European-United”.
The award aims to raise awareness of the importance of a united Europe and promote the active participation of young people in social processes. The Emperor-Maximilian-Prize recognises and supports this commonality and offers incentives for further concepts.
Every two years, the City of Innsbruck awards a prize of 10,000 euros to the winning project. The prize is awarded to individuals, institutions or organisations that create value added at the regional and/or municipal level in Europe.
The deadline for submitting applications is 27 March 2025.
