As part of the implementation of the action plan for visiting budget fund beneficiaries, Semira Dommar, Expert Advisor for Olympic and Paralympic Sports within the Ministry’s Sports Sector, visited the Sports Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Sarajevo Canton on 11 September 2026.

The purpose of the visit was to review documentation regarding the implementation of the project “Activities of the Sports Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Sarajevo Canton in 2026.” This project was supported by a decision of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports to allocate funds from the “Transfer for Sports of Importance to the Federation”—under the program “Co-financing of Sports Associations and Clubs for Persons with Disabilities”—in the total amount of 6,000.00 KM.

The review of the documentation established that the beneficiary had used a portion of the allocated funds to participate in international sports competitions. Beyond achieving the best possible athletic results, participation in these competitions aimed to facilitate social interaction among blind and visually impaired persons, foster their active engagement in sports activities, and contribute to their better integration and a more equal position within the community.
