As part of the Action Plan for visits to beneficiaries of allocated funds, on 18 September 2026, Berisa Mehović, a representative of the Sector for Cultural and Historical Heritage and Scientific Research, visited the beneficiary Parish of Saint Elijah the Prophet, Zenica, with the aim of monitoring the intended use of funds and reviewing the documentation related to the implementation of the project “Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Restoration of the National Monument of the Church of Saint Elijah with the Parish Office.”

The Ministry financed this project through the Capital Transfer to Other Levels of Government and Funds – Construction, Adaptation and Reconstruction of Cultural and Architectural Heritage 2026, in the amount of BAM 30,000.00.

It was established that, following the payment of the second tranche and for the purposes of the Second Interim Payment Certificate, the beneficiary engaged the company F-M.I.S. Limogradnja d.o.o. Vitez, which successfully completed the installation of scaffolding required for the rehabilitation works on the roof covering and the replacement of sheet metal roofing on the church building.

Should weather conditions permit, the beneficiary intends to proceed with the rapid implementation of the remaining project activities and submit the complete financial report upon completion of the works.

The continuation of the roof rehabilitation works is progressing according to the planned schedule, with the objective of completing the project by 31 December 2026.
